This pen comes with an original expensive silk case which is made from japnaese silk kimono! This sailor profit 1911, has a very beautiful maki-e lacquered design which is been made by hirota yoko. The all maki-e designs of her aer inspired by nature. This pen has a golden background with wilted wheat.

It indicates the wheat harvest during the fall season. Every season is special and important to her and the season inspires the design. I noticed one thing in this design that if you see the design on the pen through any angel it seems to be complete otherwise in the other factory made maki-e design you will have certain pattern of front and rear side one. But in her design this pattenr is barred and very meticulously hand made lacquered design.

Yuo can see the wilted wheat design highly inspired by the japanese cultural floral arrangement in a tea ceremony. It takes around some months to complete the design as the driyng and soaking and absorbing procedure takes a long time. Due to this, the lacquered color persists for a long time as due to the course of time, the color becomes hard and dark making it more attractive. This pen is an old model of sailor 1911 whihc production has stopped thus making it rare.

It is a precious art and cannot find anywhere in japan. Even i am japanese i cannot find such real precious art which i discovered this time. Thus, i want to introduce this real expensive art of her ot the world and want to excel her expensive skills.
